Welzie Murals

Bigger the better. Murals are a great challenge but so rewarding. The way colors and images can bring beauty to a mundane wall or space. One of Welzie's favorite thing to do is create large scale pieces that cover walls and bring a flavor of color where there would not be otherwise. You can find Welzie's mural work around Hawaii, California and Mexico where he is always up for bringing a new design past the constraints of the studio.

“ive always loved painting large paintings and murals are great way to create pieces of art larger than life.”

Large scale murals to fine art originals... Every piece has a story.

This mural here was painted in San Juanico, Baja Mexico, on the Local Fishing Co Op: Puerto Chale. When this was painted the town had fishing moritoriums that prevented the fisherman from fishing while the fish repopulated. The entire town was out of fish so this was our little tribute to the fishermen sticking it out through a slow year. Below is an original piece painted inspired from that trip.
