Silkscreen Print on Wood
Mmmmm, lunchtime. Welzie's studio is in the Old Waialua Sugar Mill on Oahu's North Shore. And there is not many options come lunchtime when your hungry. The local Aloha Gas station nearby was the common source for lunch for many years. After enough hard boiled eggs and Musubis for lunch one had to end up on a piece of art. The Spam Musubi piece is a local Hawaiian favorite.
Due to our silk screen process each "Spam Musubi" and "Poke Bowl" are filled in with red acrylic by Welzie.
Hand Made In Hawaii
We create each silkscreen wooden print with the highest quality acrylic paint allowing us to achieve the brightest colors created and mixed by Welzie himself. These wooden gems are Hand silkscreened in our Two Crows Hawaii Workshop using traditional silkscreen techniques. No two pieces are a like making them truly unique. We do small runs of each design and generally have a blue, pink or purple background.
